In addition to the MCA courses and Superyacht Career Entry training programs, Galileo has also added a new range of proprietary marine engineering courses and bespoke marine engineering training services.

We are now offering a range of 1 to 3 day short courses aimed at those wishing to improve their marine engineering knowledge and skills.

The 3 day Introduction to Engineering course is aimed primarily at deck hands and those looking after boats and small craft who wish to improve their basic maintenance and operation skills. This course also offers a stepping stone to those looking at going on to complete the Approved Engine Courses (AEC1 & AEC2) for the Small Vessel Engineer Certificate of Competence.

We also have a range of new 1 day short courses for covering inboard diesel engines, outboard motors, marine electrics, workshop skills, fitting practices and the use of hand tools.

Finally, if there is an area of marine engineering training that your crew requires we can customise 1-on-1 and group training options to meet your specific engineering training needs.

The Head of the Galileo School of Marine Engineering is a professional Instructor, former Royal Navy and Superyacht Chief Engineer with over 45 years’ experience in the maritime industry. If you would like me to arrange a meeting with him to discuss specific training requirements please contact us to discuss the details.
